DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival, you are met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Delhi. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02: DELHI - KATHGODAM BY SHATABDI EXPRESS DEP 06.00 HRS ARR 11.15 HRS
KATHGODAM – RANIKHET 80 KMS 02 HOURS 30 MIN DRIVE
Morning transfer to Railway station to board Train for Kathgodam. On arrival, you are met and transferred to Ranikhet. After freshen up, later go out for Guided sightseeing tour of Ranikhet.
RANIKHET: Ranikhet is situated in the northern part of the state of Uttaranchal, in the northern region of India . It is situated in the Kumaon hills and is located on an altitude of 1824 m above sea levelIt is believed that the hill resort of Ranikhet derives it name from the Rani Padmini, queen of Raja Sukherdev, the local ruler. The queen was awe-struck by the beauty of the place. The queen was so captivated by the place that she decided to stay there, and the place came to be known as Ranikhet i.e. the queen's field. The region around Ranikhet was ruled by local Kumaoni rulers and later came under British rule. The British developed Ranikhet as a hill station for their troops and established a cantonment in 1869. Ranikhet is still a cantonment town and is the Kumaon Regimental Center . Till date the hill resort of Ranikhet offers refugee to the sun baked people of the plains.Its beauty lies in its simplicity - beautiful pine trees create a nostalgic feeling. The orchards, the temples, the joy grounds will back on you again and again to its fold.Later come back to Hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 03: RANIKHET- KAUSANI 50 KMS 02 HOURS DRIVE
After breakfast, full day guided sightseeing tour of Ranikhet and nearby attractions including little trekking , nature walk.famous spots to see near Ranikhet.
Chaubatia: One of the significant spots to visit will be Chaubatia which is famous for its fruit orchards, gardens and an Indian Government Fruit Research Centre. This place imposes around 300Kms view of the Himalayan range which includes Nanda Devi, Trishul, Nandaghunti and Nilkanth peaks. Bhaludam, 3kms from Chaubatia, is an artificial lake and a popular picnic spot. Majkhali, a base of the Himalaya, gives a breathtaking view of the towering Mt. Trishul (26500ft) which is just 13Kms from Ranikhet. Within 4Kms from Ranikhet lies the paradise for the golfers, at Upat another famous spot to witness in Ranikhet.
Dwarahat: a small town 37 kms away from Ranikhet noted for its archeological and historical importance, is a nearby attraction in Ranikhet. Dwarahat has the attraction of ancient temples, Shakti temple at Doonagiri and Naithna Devi Temple are two of them. It is located in the beautiful valley of the famous Ram Ganga River. It is believed that the mythical, invaluable and rare herbs of Sanjivani with high healing and majestic powers grow inside the temple premises of Shakthi temple. The valley of Dwarahat is picturesque and is a major draw of tourists.
Binsar mahadev Temple : Located 19Kms from Ranikhet, surrounded by thick deodar forest, a true wonder.
The Mankameshwar temple: is situated at the NarSingh Maidan in Ranikhet and this temple is popular among its compatriots when it comes to famous places in Ranikhet. It was built by the Emperor Kumaon (Mughal dynasty) for military purposes. The Golu Devta Temple and the Gandhi Kuti, situated at Tarikhe, where Mahatma Gandhi once stayed during the freedom struggle, are two other major tourist attractions. The place has immense historic significance. Evening drive to Kausani.On arrival check in at your hotel.Overnight at hotel
DAY 04: KAUSANI - NAINITAL 120 KMS 04 HOURS DRIVE
After breakfast, morning sightseeing of Kausani and a small walk around and later drive to Nainital. On arrival, check in at Hotel. Evening visit Naini Lake Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05 : NAINITAL - KATHGODAM – DELHI BY OVERNIGHT TRAIN DEP 21.45 HRS
Morning proceed for a sightseeing tour and evening transfer to Kathgodam Railway station to board train for Delhi at 21.45 hrs. Overnight on board.
DAY 06: ARRIVE DELHI AT 0400 HRS
DELHI - JAIPUR 260 KMS 5 HOURS DRIVE
On arrival in Delhi, transferred to nearby hotel for wash and change and breakfast. After freshn up, drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur. check in at your pre-booked hotel.Later go for sightseeing tour of Jaipur.Jaipur popularly known as the Pink City, was built in 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Designed in accordance with Shilp Shastra - an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture - Jaipur follows a grid system. Upon arrival check in your Hotel. Afternoon - tour of City Palace and Observatory. The City Palace in the heart of the old city is a blend of Rajasthan and Mughal architecture. The Palace of winds - a five storied structure of pink sandstone has semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows overlooking the main street of the old city. It was originally built to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch everyday life. In the evening, we visit Chokhi Dhani where an ethnic village atmosphere is recreated each evening with thousands of oil lamps, folk dancers, arobats, snake charmers, puppeteers etc.Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 07: JAIPUR - AGRA 235KMS 5 HOURS DRIVE
The capital of Rajasthan is the most colourful city in India.Today morning we visit the Amber Fort in the Aravali Hills, which is a super example of Rajput (Medieval Hindu) style architecture.and later Drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water.On arrival in Agra visit to Agra Fort. Check in at your pre-booked hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 08: AGRA - DELHI (200 KMS 04 HRS DRIVE)
Early morning visit Taj Mahal with sunrise built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains in Agra and later back to hotel for breakfast and later Shopping in the Local markets. By afternoon drive back to Delhi.On arrival check in at your pre-booked hotel.Overnight at hotel.
DAY 09: LEAVE DELHI
Transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey.
