DAY 01: ARRIVE HARIDWAR
Arrive in Haridwar in the morning ,On arrival you are met and transferred to your pre - booked hotel. Today sightseeing tour of Haridwar including the visits of temples such as Mansa Devi, Hari ki pauri, bathing Ghats and traditional bazaars or markets. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02: HARIDWAR - RISHIKESH - HARIDWAR
After breakfast same day tour of Rishikesh. On reaching in Rishikesh, sightseeing of Rishikesh. Including Lakshman Jhula,Swarg Ashram, Gita Bhawan, Triveni Ghat. After finishing sightseeing, come back Haridwar for overnight stay.
PLACES OF INTEREST
Lakshman Jhula: This suspended iron bridge was build in 1939 and has been a major attraction among the tourists.
Ram Jhula: The other suspended Iron bridge was recently constructed between Shivanand Ashram and Sawarg Ashram.
Swarg Ashram: This area is in housing the comlex of numerous temples here. Statues here are the major attractions for the tourist. You can also enjoy the shopping here.
Gita Bhawan: Located just across the Lakshman Jhula. It is a new building having beautiful paintings and statues from the Hindu Mythology. These are the major attraction for the tourist
Triveni Ghat: You can see people taking holy dip in the river from early in the morning till late evening every DAY on this bathing ghat. It is very famous ghat and huge number of people come here to see Maha AARTI being performed every evening make it so delightful.
DAY 03: HARIDWAR - VARANASI (OVERNIGHT TRAIN)
After checking out from the hotel. Short sightseeing tour of Haridwar followed by attending an evening Grand AARTI at Hari ki Pauri on the Ghat. Later drive to Railway station to board train for Varanasi.Overnight in the train.
DAY 04: ARRIVE VARANASI
Arrive Varanasi Railway station at 13:15 Pm. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. In the afternoon proceed to the village of Sarnath on the outskirts of town. It was in this Deer Park that the Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit the Park and Museum.. Sarnath was made a centre of Buddhist worship by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. We will visit the Main Shrine and Ashoka's Pillar. In the Archaeological Museum we will see the beautifully carved capital from the pillar along with many other priceless Buddhist artifacts. The highlight of this tour would be a participation in the evening Aarti ( prayer service) at the main Buddhist temple here. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05: VARANASI
After breakfast , full day sightseeing tour of Varanasi.Varanasi formerly known as Benares, is the city where the Hindu faithful come to bathe in the sacred waters of the Ganges . Early this morning get ready for a dawn boat ride on the river Ganges . The Ganges is the most sacred and venerated river in India . Besides the ritualistic aspect of Hinduism ( thread ceremony, head shaving food to the departed souls etc.) also see the bathing. Laundry and the cremations of the dead that take place here on the banks of the river. After the boat ride walk through the fascinating narrow twisting lanes of the city to watch the performance of various Hindu rituals by the pilgrims.After the boat trip on the Ganges we return back to the hotel. After breakfast we will proceed for a city tour. Rest of the DAY at leisure. Overnight at the Hotel
DAY 06: VARANASI RAILWAY STATION DROP
After checking out from the hotel, day free at your own leisure. Later dorp at Mughal Sarai Railway station to board train for onwards Journey.
