This trek lies entirely within the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, you will, therefore, have to pay an entrance fee and a charge for your cameras. Your Destination, Har-Ki-Dun, is at a height of 3,566 meters. The trek begins at Taluka which is 11 km from the beautiful village of Osla. This Himalayan settlement still has houses made in the traditional architectural style with excellent wood carvings. In the early stages of the trek, you pass terraced fields rising out of the valley of the River Tons. These then give way to scrub-covered slopes, meadows and conifer forests. Har ki Doon Trek is situated in the Western Garhwal Himalayas, at the base of Fateh Parvat.

This cradle shaped valley, South-east of Jaundar glacier is surrounded by dense forests of pine, deodar, and other coniferous trees. It is covered by a blanket of blue and purple flowers. The surrounding forest is rich in wildlife and exotic birds and forms part of the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary & National Park. The main snow-clad peaks visible from here are Swarga-Rohini, Bandarpunch, and Kala Nag.

ITINERARY

DAY 01 : DELHI - DEHRADUN (270 KMS, 07 HRS DRIVE)
Upon arrival at International Airport in Delhi you are met and and proceed directly towards the place called Dehradun ”A capital city of Uttarakhand”.Upon arrival, check into your pre-booked hotel. Evening free at leisure. Overnight Stay.

DAY 02 : DEHRADUN - TALUKA (1900 M/6232 FT) (215 KMS, 07- 08 HRS DRIVE)
After finishing an early breakfast, drive to Taluka. A small village nestles in the laps of nature via Mussoorie, Kempty Fall, Purola, and Mori. Overnight at tents as this is our starting point of trekking.

DAY 03 : TALUKA - OSLA (2560 M/8400 FT) (13 KMS, 06-07 HRS)
Today we start trekking trail towards Osla. The trek is through dense forest Chestnut, Walnut, and Willows. It's a picturesque Osla village along the swift rivulet. Upon arrival set out campsite for overnight stay.

DAY 04 : OSLA - HAR KI DUN (3566 M/11700 FT) (12 KMS, 06-07 HRS)
Today we trek up to Har Ki Dun. Initially, the trek goes past some fields of beans & rice and also some isolated villages, where the lifestyle is the same as old, and the untouched one. The dress worn by people is traditional. Their cheerfulness and innocence combined with their simple way of life make them very appealing.

A common scene in the evenings is that of ruddy-cheeked village belles returning home, carrying on their backs huge loads of pine needles & cones to be used as fuel. The trail steadily ascends the side of the ridge across the river and then veers left to the Har Ki Dun valley. Dense forests at this part give way to the meadows that are scattered with flowers and flowering herbs. The trek from Taluka to Har Ki Dun is 23 km. Overnight stay in tents.

DAY 05 : HAR KI DUN
Today Free at Leisure. Explore on your own. All doons or duns are very broad valley and Har Ki Dun is one of them. From the forest bungalow one gets an excellent view of the valley below, with the peak of Swargarchinin rising at the far end to the right there is a forest of birch. Campers prefer to opt for the forested areas because the valley is often scoured by strong winds. Just chill at the campsite. Overnight in tents.

DAY 06 : HAR KI DUN - DEBSHU BUGYAL(14 KMS, 04 TO 05 HRS)
Today we start trekking for about 14 km to reach out Debshu Bughyal by taking 4-5 hrs at leisure pace as the trail is generally downhill. Overnight at Tents.

DAY 07 : DEBSHU BUGYAL - RUINSARA TAL(3500 M/11480 FT) (16 KMS, 05-06 HRS)
Today we trek towards Ruinsara Tal. The trek from Debsu Bughyal to Ruinsara Tal is through, terraced mountain fields, lush green grassy lands, and conifer forests through the extremely scenic landscape. The trek is moderate and one can cover the trek in 5 - 6 hrs. Upon arrival stay at the campsite. Overnight in tents.

DAY 08 : RUINSARA TAL
Day free at leisure for your activities. One can also experience the beauty around the place out there. Make some pictures over there. Overnight in tents.

DAY 09 : RUINSARA TAL - OSLA(18 KMS, 04-05 HRS)
After having an early breakfast, trekking down to Osla for about 18 km by taking 4-5 hours. Set up a camp by the Supin river. Overnight at Tents.

DAY 10: OSLA - TALUKA - DEHRADUN
Today morning comes back to Chopta by trek and later drive towards the Place called Jagasu (45 kms/2 hrs). Here is very significant and worth seeing the confluence of Madmaheshwar Ganga and Makandya Ganga, the last place before reaches Madmaheshwar. Overnight at Camps.

DAY 11: DEHRADUN - DELHI (270 KMS, 07 HRS DRIVE)
After an early breakfast drive back to Delhi . Later transfer to International Airport to board flight for your onwards Journey.
