09:30 hrs: Visit Taj Mahal. Get ready for a city tour with your guide who will show you all the major attractions in Agra. At 09:30 AM, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world, and learn about its beautiful art and architecture. The guide will share fascinating details about the history of this eternal love monument, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Notice the exquisite Pietra dura, a technique of decorative patterns made from precious and semi-precious stones, embedded into the marble base of Taj Mahal. 11:00 hrs : Visit Agra Fort. At 11:00 AM, head to Agra Fort, built in red sandstone, with its magnificent palaces, halls of public and private audience, and beautiful gardens. This is where Emperor Shah Jahan was kept under house arrest by his third son Aurangzeb and spent the last year of his life viewing the Taj Mahal from across the river Yamuna. Marvel at the beautiful Mughal architecture and craftsmanship, dating back to the 15th century.

12:30 hrs: Take a break for lunch at 12:30 PM and enjoy some delicious food on your own.

13:30 hrs: Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah
isit the exquisite Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah, the emperor Jehangir’s chief minister, and father-in-law. Often called the ‘Baby Taj,’ this beautiful tomb foreshadows the grandeur of the Taj Mahal, earning its name as the “draft of the Taj Mahal.” Commissioned by Nūr Jahān, the wife of Jahangir, for her father Mirzā Ghiyās Beg, the mausoleum was built between 1622 and 1628, representing a transition between the first phase of monumental Mughal architecture primarily built from red sandstone with marble decorations.

14:00 hrs: Visit Fatehpur Pur Sikri. At 02:00 PM, head to Fatehpur Sikri, located 40 km away from Agra, and popularly known as the Ghost City or Abandoned City. Built by Mughal emperor Akbar in the 15th century, it was his effort to shift his capital from Agra to a new location 40 km away on Sikri ridge to honor the Sufi saint Salim Chishti. Marvel at the planned walled city, which includes a series of royal palaces, harem, courts, a mosque, private quarters, and other prominent buildings, all made of red sandstone. Sadly, Akbar had to abandon the city shortly after its completion, due to a dearth of water in this area and its proximity with Rajputana.

16:00 hrs: At 04:00 PM, after visiting Fatehpur Sikri, begin your journey back to Delhi, which takes approximately 4 hours. If time permits, stop by Sikandara to visit the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Akbar.
