DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHI

Upon arrival at Delhi’s Airport, you are met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 02 : DELHI

After breakfast, morning full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, including the visits of Akshardham Temple, Red Fort, Raj Ghat and Lotus Temple, etc. Also visit Lakshmi Narayan Temple, a Spectacular structure just 60 years old, and then proceed via India Gate and the Governmental building to Humayun’s Tomb, Hazarat Nizamuddin Dargha, Qutab Minar, the 240-foot tower built-in 1190 to commemorate the arrival of Islam in India and Markets.

Contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient and the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind. The division between New and Old Delhi is the distinction between the capitals of the British and the Mughals, respectively. DAY 03 : DELHI - JAIPUR BY ROAD 260 KMS 5 HOURS DRIVE

After breakfast, half-day city tour of old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Built by Shah Jahan, the construction was started in 1844 and completed in 1658; Red Fort, which was also built by Shah Jehan. He ordered the construction of this massive fort between 1638 to 1648. Chandni Chowk and Rajghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Sightseeing of the old and modern capital of India. Afternoon, leave for Jaipur. Arrive in Jaipur and check-in at a pre-booked hotel. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace, which has a museum having an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamelware, and weapons; Jantar Mantar - the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728 and the façade of Hawa Mahal.



DAY 04 : JAIPUR

After breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort. Elephant ride from the foothills of the Aravallis to the fort entrance. Amber Fort: At a distance of 11 km from Jaipur, Amber was the ancient capital of Jaipur state. Construction of the fort began in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar's army, and is a superb example of Rajput architecture.

Afternoon city tour of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace, which has a museum having an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamelware, and weapons; Jantar Mantar - the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728 and the façade of Hawa Mahal.

DAY 05 : JAIPUR - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA BY ROAD 232 KMS 4 HOURS DRIVE

After breakfast, drive to Agra and en-route visit the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. Emperor Akbar built it in 1569, was the old capital of the Mughals. Emperor Akbar had left Fatehpur Sikri city after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings include the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces, still preserved in its original glory. Continue drive to Agra. Later Proceed for a city tour of Agra. Visit Red Fort, which was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565. His grandson Shah Jahan made up the additions to it. There is a hall of public and private audiences among many other beautiful structures. Nur Jahan constructed Itmad-ud-daulah between 1622 and 1628. It is very similar to the tomb she built for her husband, Jehangir, near Lahore in Pakistan; the highlight of the day is the Taj Mahal, which was constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of the Taj began in 1631 and was not over until 1653. Afternoon, free for individual activities.


DAY 06 : AGRA - DELHI BY ROAD 210 KMS 4 HOURS DRIVE - AMRITSAR(BY TRAIN)

After breakfast, early morning leave for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, you are met and transferred to Railway station to board Shatabdi Train to Amritsar (Train departs at 16:30 hrs & Arrives at 22:35 hrs). On arrival in Amritsar, you are met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 07 : AMRITSAR

After breakfast, visit the Golden Temple - the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion, also known as Hari Mandir; Jallianwala Bagh - The park commemorates the 2000 Indians who were killed or wounded at this site, shot indiscriminately by the British in 1919. The story of this massacre is told in the Martyrs' Gallery, and a section of the wall with bullet marks still visible is preserved. As the well into which some people jumped to escape can be seen; Ram Bagh - a beautiful garden has a museum built by Sikh Maharaja Ranjit Sing and has weapons dating back to Mughal time and some portraits of ruling houses of Punjab.

Afternoon visit Indo-Pak Border (Wagah Border) to watch retreat ceremony-30 KM on the road to Lahore is India-Pakistan Border. A visit to the border is a great experience, especially at Sunset, when the retreat ceremony takes place with the Border Security Force on the Indian Side and the Sutlej Rangers on the Pakistan side, putting up a well-coordinated and spectacular display.



DAY 08 : AMRITSAR-DELHI(BY SHATABDI TRAIN DEPARTS. 05:10 HRS ARRIVES 11:15 HRS)

Departure transfer to Railway station to board the train for New Delhi. On arrival, you are met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel or International airport to catch a flight back home.
