Every Independence Day, a mass gathering takes place at the main gate of the Red Fort called Lahore gate.

SAFDARJANG TOMB: The mausoleum of Safdarjung, the viceroy of Awadh in Mughal times during the reign of Muhammad Shah, is the last enclosed garden tomb in Delhi, built in 1753-54, in the tradition of Humayun's Tomb.

HAZARAT NIZAMUDDIN AULIYA: The tomb represents Hazrat Amir Khusro (R.a), one of the greatest and most influential Sufi saints of the Indian Sub-continent, an individual who invented a new language to bridge the gap between south and north India (including Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Rangoon, Bangladesh and Afghanistan),in order to bring the world closer together and work for the benefit of Humanity. Hasarat Nizamuddin was a Sufi who transcended time, caste, creed, color, region, or race.

LODHI TOMB: Two examples of octagonal tombs are the tombs of Muhammad Shah and Sikandar Lodhi. Both Shish and Bara Gumbad have domes, turrets, and facades that give the impression they are double-storied tombs.

QUTUB MINAR: The Qutub Minar was built as a victory tower by Qutab-ud-din Aibak following the defeat of Delhi's last Hindu kingdom. Five distinct storeys of this 73 m-high tower are marked by balconies. At the base, they measure 15 m in diameter; at the top, they are 2.5 m in diameter. In the mosque's courtyard, there is a 7-meter-high iron pillar. The legend claims that if you can encircle it with your hands while facing it, your wish will come true.
