The Statue of Unity stands tall at 182 meters above the Narmada River. The height of the statue is double the height of the Statue of Liberty, which stands 93 meters off the coast of New York City and four times of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. The total height of the structure from its base is 240 m (790 ft), with a base of 58 m (190 ft) and a statue of 182 m (597 ft). It was built on an island named Sadhu Bet, 3.2 km away from and facing the Narmada Dam.
The statue depicts Vallabhbhai Patel, a leader of the Indian independence movement and the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister. He was one of the most prominent leaders of the Indian independence movement. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, also known as the Iron Man of India, was a freedom fighter, senior leader, and one of the founding fathers of the Republic of India.

DAY 01 : ARRIVE VADODARA - STATUE OF UNITY - VADODARA (90 KMS 2 HRS DRIVE)
Upon arrival at Vadodara Airport, you are met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. After freshen up, drive to see the Statue of Unity.
“STATUE OF UNITY” is dedicated to one of India’s founding fathers, and the country’s first deputy Prime Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Statue of Unity stands tall atop Sadhu Bet island on the Narmada facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam downstream in Kevadiya colony, about 100 kilometers southeast of Vadodara. Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled what is billed to be the world’s tallest statue at 182 meters, leaving China’s Spring Temple Buddha at 153 meters, a long way behind. The project was handed over to Larsen & Tubro at a whopping 2,989 crore, who commenced construction on 31 October 2014. The idea was to inaugurate the Sardar Patel statue on his 143rd birth anniversary, on 31 October 2018. And as promised, the project was wrapped up in a period of 42 months with no escalation on fuel, labor, and material.
As a part of an outreach program to support the project, the state had asked Indian farmers to donate their used farming equipment to amass iron needed for the statue of Sardar Patel. Eventually, about 5000 tonnes of iron was believed to be collected. However, it wasn’t used for the statue as previously intended and used instead in other work related to the construction of the structure.

DAY 02 : VADODARA - AHMEDABAD (110 KMS 3 HRS DRIVE)
Drive to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, check-in at your pre-booked Hotel. After freshen up, we will visit places like Gandhi Ashram, Jama Masjid, Hutheesing Jain Temple, and Sardar Patel Museum and later visit the Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, which is 25 km from the city. Overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 03 : DEPART AHMEDABAD
After breakfast, departure transfer to the airport to board flight for onward journey.
